I would not mind owning a 300 win mag myself. There are alot of calibers I am wanting to add to my collection.....

UPDATE:
I got to the range with the 300 win mag I tried 4 factory loads (I know but I need start some where). Sorry no pics maybe next time.

100yd test

165 gr Federal premium tropy bonded bear claw was 5 rds grouped 3-5" low or so in a 2 wide group.
150gr Federal Fusion would not group at all 5rds with only 4 on 14" x 14" target and 9" was as close to point of aim as they got. 1 left, 1left and high, 1 left and low,1 low center and 1 anyone's guess.

Barnes Vor -Tx 165gr TSX shot the best with 3rds 1" high in a 1.5" group

Hornady Custom 165 gr SST with a 3rd group just a little bigger than the Barnes.

200 yd test

I only shot the 3 165gr loads
Fed Premium 2 rds both 6" low 1 right 3" and 1 left just over 2"

Barnes 3rds 1-2" low in a 3"group Smile

Hornady was again just a little bigger than the Barnes. Smile

All said and done I was very happy. I will need to do some more testing but to sore for now. LOL

I may need to get a loan if I can't get reloads to shoot that good.
