Ingot molds?

Post by Sasquatch-1 on Tue Sep 25, 2012 8:38 am

Does anyone here make angle iron ingot molds? I do not weld so I can't do it. I have a couple things that I use for ingots but want an angle iron mold with about 10 cavities about 8 to 12 inches long for smelting days. I do not care if they are made from old bed frames or anything else as long as they are sturdy.

If you make these PM me with details.

I made some once. I didn't like how they turned out and the V-channel seemed to cause unnecessary splattering.

Into the scrap pile they went...I'll stick with my mini muffin pans Wink

Lyman did at one time. Ask around you might find one. There is some on E bay for sale I do not know what it is made of. I have one from LEE that does a good job.
