that would depend on what your talking about. A bullet probably not so much a charge of Rifle powder maybe not ... a pistol very much so it could blow up your gun. +/- a tenth of a grain may not matter to much but a whole grain could be the difference in a happy shooting day at the range or a very unpleasant trip to the ER

Yes, a grain is a lot, a 10th of a grain is a ok

minus a grain of powder can cause a squib load
plus a grain of powder can put you over pressure

modern powder dispensers and measures should get you to within a tenth of a grain no problem.

+/- a grain ? this is why I have an R.C.B.S. trickler , to use with my Lee dipper's , with my 5-0-2 scale

YES it does! You need to buy your self some reloading books. The Lyman is a very good one to start with Lee. Then read and read it before reloading!! These 2 books will cover a lot of the powders that is out there and about every gun caliber. GOOD LUCK
